Account Executive: Hybrid-Remote;
Multiple Locations

Location: Remote or hybrid depending on location. We are adding account executives in multiple markets.

Data Link operates offices in Evansville, IN; Richmond, VA; Cincinnati and Toledo, OH; and Louisville, KY and typically works with clients within a 350 mile radius of these cities.

Candidates must reside in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Virginia, or Southern Michigan.

Travel: 50% to prospect and client locations.

Position Overview: We are seeking a results-driven Account Executive to join our growing team. In this full-cycle sales role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Prospecting and Lead Generation:

Proactively identify and pursue new client opportunities through cold calling, emailing, networking, and LinkedIn outreach.

Expand relationships within existing Data Link clients to identify new opportunities.

Qualify leads and manage a robust sales pipeline effectively.

Conduct face-to-face discovery meetings with new prospects, employing a consultative sales approach.

Clearly articulate Data Link’s value proposition to potential clients.

• Client Engagement:

Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored solutions.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations to address their physical security and infrastructure challenges.

Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and operations, to ensure seamless implementation and client satisfaction.

Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure continued satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring prompt and professional communication throughout the engagement lifecycle.

• Sales Process Management:

Lead prospects through the sales pipeline with support from our engineering team.

Maintain accurate records of activities and opportunities in the CRM system (ConnectWise).

• Marketing and Networking:

Represent Data Link at networking events and industry conferences.

Provide strategic input on marketing initiatives to align with sales objectives.

Qualifications:

• Experience:

Proven success in prospecting and closing $75,000+ technology solutions.

Experience selling custom technical solutions to IT, security, or facilities directors in the commercial business, healthcare, manufacturing, or education sectors.

• Skills:

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise communication for non-technical audiences.

Skilled at setting meetings and establishing relationships with new business prospects.

Capable of quickly learning and effectively communicating IT, network infrastructure, and physical security concepts.

Driven, confident, and results-oriented with a strong determination to succeed.

Self-motivated and able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Proficiency with computers and common business software applications.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $60,000 – $100,000 (commensurate with experience)

• On Target Earnings (OTE): $100,000-$150,000
